New Beginning's

Fred unfortunatly has been laid off of work again which is twice in 7 months, so he has started a great amazing project in our house which he has been working so hard on.

We both wanted hard wood floors and then decided new paint to go with it. I chose blue so Fred has been working hard and getting our house new and beautiful.Struggles can happen when one or the other loses their job but great things can come out of it as well. Fred makes a wonderful stay at home mom. Fred is always making sure everything is done in the house and the kids are perfectally taken care of.

I am so proud of him for for working hard for our family to keep us together. I have always said I found my soul mate and I do believe with everything we have been through Fred is that soul mate of mine.

The start to a New Year together

2010 has started already and we are super busy already! The holidays have come and gone and we had an amazing time with family and friends.Feb 6th is coming up which mean it is time for softball sign ups again for Baylee. We are so excited because 8 months out of the year this is what we do. Fred is going to coach her team through the season again, whcih is always so much fun for him and Baylee as well to have her dad there to help.

Alex is still isn't sure he wants to play any sports so we will let him decide when he is ready, no pressure for him at all. Alex love to go to the softball games and find other little kids to run around and play with. Alex also loves to sit and watch and sing all the softball songs to cheer his big sister on.

Fred is still holding strong with his new job and we both hope it all goes well. Fred was blessed to have found a job so quickly and not have to be unemployed for very long. Fred has started a new semester of school in communications which he says is going good so far. I am so proud of him for sticking with his schooling. Fred has been going to school for 3 years now and hopefully in 2 more he will be done and get his associates degree.

Our family has been doing very well and moving forward with every day that passes to make out lives the best we can have!!xoxo Mrs. Garrett

The beginning to the holidays..

The holidays are always so much around our house. We always start off withe great family and friends for Thanksgiving and make our rounds to see everyone and pick at some of the famous goodies they make that day.

The weekend after Thanksgiving we all go as a family and pick out the best tree we can find and get the house and tree all decorated. We leave the outside lights to dad, I string the lights on the tree and the kids always put on all the rest of the tree decorations.

I always make sure I get my kids the 24 chocolates till christmas calendars so they can enjoy a sweet treat after dinner and they love them.

I always look forward to seeing what the kids ask Santa for every year and so far he always has his work cut out for him.
Baylee asked for a guinea pig so she can have her own pet to take care of (she must have forgotten about the cat Santa got her 5 years ago) and Alex wants all sorts of Transformers and GI Joe toys. I was happy to see they both asked for new clothes and PJ's too.

I look forward to the holiday season with all my loved ones and can't wait for the wonderful new year!!

Halloween

Halloween is always a super fun time of year with our family. Taking the kids to get a costume and decorating the house together makes it all fun when we can spend time together. The kids were troopers when we went out Trick or Treating (we were as well). Now that Halloween has passed looks like we are headed for the next holiday.. I can't wait!!

Happy Birthday Ethan

Nine years ago I had a beautiful boy who has since grown into a smart, handsome young man. October 1st, 2000 was a special day for many people. I brought this boy into the world to become a special part of his new family. He has grown to be such a smart and talented person. I am so thankful for his family who keeps in contact with me, so I am able to watch him grow up and know how he is. Ethan you are an amazing boy and I am so proud of who you are. I do believe I gave him more and will always love Ethan's family!!

Baylee has always had a love for animals, but horses are her very favorite. Her uncle Donnie took her horseback riding with him and his kids and she had so much fun. They ran out of saddles and Baylee was all excited to be a tough girl and ride bareback.

Alex finally started Kindergarten this year, and he was super excited. I on the other hand was bummed out because he is my baby. Alex was so brave didn't cry or anything when I took him to school, he ran right into class found his desk and sat right down. I kept thinking to myself "what he isn't going to miss me" lol.

Alex had the best day, although he doesn't like his homework because he si not use to it yet, but he will do just fine with everything.

Softball tournament..

My daughter had the State tournament for her allstar softball team over the July 24th weekend, and wow what a great weekend it was. We stayed in a hotel with the other coaches and hung out with the whole team the whole weekend. I had some great friends come out and support Baylee (Thanks Stacey and Bart) you guys really are amazing friends.

My daughter's team named the Suicide Babes took 3rd place which is so awesome for all of them. They got the cutest trophy ever and everyone of the girls and coaches were so excited to have even taken 3rd place.

Baylee's dad is one of the assistant coaches so it made it extra fun for her and myself to watch. He did an amazing job keeping the girls on there toes to get them this far.

We have our final tournament this weekend for the West Valley Classic, so I hope we can take names and place for OUR city. Good luck to the Suicide Babes.

Summer Fun

This Summer has been a very busy one. Baylee made the Allstar team again this year for softball and after a good season and taking 2nd place we now practice Monday through Friday from 6:30 till 9:00 every night. We have watched her play 4 tournaments so far and they took 2nd place in the national championships which was so exciting for her and her team, The Suicide Babe is their name.

We took a family vacation to Jackson Hole with some good friends, and went boating at a lake, canoing for the first time ever, and took a ride down the Alpine slide. If you love the country and mountains then Jackson Hole is well worth the trip to get away from life. My kids got to see so many deer and elk, as well as a mother moose and her baby.

Over Memorial weekend I got to take a fabulous trip to San Diego California with 13 other girls for a bachelorette party, and wow was it is party weekend for sure. We rented beach cruiser bikes on Coronado Island and rode all day long and I got to put my feet in beach sand for the first time ever in my life. We had an amazing 4 days partying like rock stars and feeling free to do whatever we all wanted.

I am going to be celebrating my 28th birthday coming up in August which is crazy because I feel like just yesterday I was graduating from high school and giving birth to my now 10 year old daughter. Man does time just fly by.

I hope you all are having a great Summer because I know we are!! I'll keep you updated on how Baylee does in her softball tournaments.

XOXO Marnell Garrett

Just an update.

Well so far we are having a great 2009, we are both loving our new jobs that we each started towards the end of 2008. I have planned to go to San Diego with 12 other girlfriends for our friend Ashlee's bachelorette party. We are going memorial weekend and we are going to have a blast. I have never seen the ocean before and I cannot wait to either.

We got Baylee all signed up for Bonnettball and we find out March 9th who her coach will be and what girls are on her team. Baylee is so excited she can't stand it. I love this time of year because watching Baylee play softball is one of the best things for me.

We decided since Alex will be 5 this summer, we want to start him with a sport, and decided to get him a Bow so we can put him in Archery league and hope he enjoys it, if he doesn't then we will try baseball. Either way we would love Alex to find a sport he can love as much as Baylee does her softball.

Well some of you might know I have been a smoker pretty much my whole life. I started smoking cigarettes when I was in 8th grade when I was 12 and I only quit when I was pregnant all 3 times, then I started right back up again. One day a few weekes ago I decided I really want to get fit and more healthy so I promised Baylee I would stop smoking cigarettes before softball starts for her. Well today makes day 13 that I have not had a cigarette at all, I quit cold turkey and it has been kindof hard but I feel so much better, also I go to the gym twice a week and do a weight program 3 times a week at home. I also have been eating so much better too, alot more live foods and got rid of all the soda, coffee and candies that I would always eat. I am so proud that I was able to quit smoking.

I also got a new car after drivng a 2002 Ford Tourus for the last 4 1/2 years. I got a 2005 Dodge Magnum, that is a forest green color with cream leather interior, it is so pretty, and Baylee just loves it because Magnums and Chrystler 300 are her favorite cars.

Well I will keep you all updated on my smoking..

Good times

We had a great Christmas!! The kids got everything they asked for except cell phones, because we still think they are both to young to have them.

The kids spent the night with there Aunt Shirley for New Years while Fred and I went to Wendover with ou friends. WOW did we have a blast, I only gambled 30.00 so I felt good knowing I didn't lose that much, and Fred, well he wasn't so lucky he lost 200.00 in the first 3 hours, then won 30.00 back the next morning. LOL

But we had a great time with good friends who we love dearly..

Last Sunday my dog Ref broke his toe (yes they are called toe's) so we had to go get it put in a slpint and he had to wear a neck brace to help prevent him from chewing the splint off... Well if you know our Ref he will find a way. When we came home from work on Wednesday we found his neeck brace torn into peices everywhere and when we came home from Wendove her chewed off his splint.. AHHH dumb dog doesn't realize he needs that to support his break. So Fred took him back to the Vet today and we had no choice but to get a hard cast for him.. Let's see how long this will last. We did spray it like crazy with that yucky tasting dog stuff so he won't chew on it... Let's hope anyways.

Well to sum things up what wild and crazy 2008 but I am blessed with all the love We have from our family and friends who continue to support us through everything we do. I love you all..

xoxo Mrs Garrett
